The Agricultural Soil Health and Conservation Working Group worked for over two years to develop and hone the New Horizons: Ontario’s Agricultural Soil Health and Conservation Strategy. Soil Testing is frequently used to develop fertilizer recommendations and to help manage long-term soil fertility. It can also be used in season to diagnose crop production problems. Soil testing in Ontario is done by commercial soil-testing laboratories, using tests accredited by OMAFRA.
